Booked online using my Marriott acct. Have stayed many times with this chain and always been pleased. On my preferences in the app. I always ask prior to arrival extra feather pillows and extra towels. Reason I have stage 4 cancer and get treatment in Gainesville (Shands) when arrived checked in and saw no extras, called downstairs asked for items guest services said " We will see. It's not just a preference they are needed due to pain and cleanliness. It's 2:53 am and no service, I called at 8:15 pm the prior day after arrival. I get bad people who want more, that's not me. I need it to sleep and relieve pain. I would have brought my own if I knew they didn't care.
The location was very convenient. We stopped overnight to break up the drive to Orlando. The continental breakfast was delicious. The beds were pretty comfortable with nice pillows. Took away a star because the pool was out of order and it was something we had gotten the kids excited about ahead of time.
Checked in for an overnight stay on the way to our final vacation destination. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast spread was declicious and had a good variety of foods to select from.
I'd still stay in this chain again but I'll make sure I pick up at desk prior to checking in or bring my own.
Great place! You pass a few seedier places getting there, but then you turn the corner and its clear this is the place to be. Rooms were clean. Soaps were Paul Mitchell branded. Breakfast was great, but sadly, no bacon. If i went back to lake city, id stay here again.
Oh well maybe its the management that the staff is following its laid back guest care.
Room and facilities clean as always just no personal care and service which is rare for this chain.
Great staff that is willing to work out problems, but my room had some kind of black soot coming out of the AC unit, blowing onto the bed and carpet. It could have been black mold. Otherwise the hotel was nice.
