Checked in. Went to room and immediately checked out. Sheets on one bed looked crisp and clean. Sheets on other bed were wrinkled and obviously slept in. These are not my cleanliness standards.
There was no "good old hometown hospitality" or relaxing in Baymont Lake City. I do not recommend this hotel or Baymont policies whatsoever. We stayed at Baymont Lake City one night and paid for two rooms, one through Expedia and one on the spot. We only used one room. We asked Expedia to request a refund for the first room and received this response: "We have advocated your request to Baymont Inn & Suites Lake City and we were advised that you have booked pet friendly type of room. However, the hotel did not charged you for a pet charges. Due to this, we are unable to process your refund request."
We are incredulous that after two weeks Baymont has been unresponsive and would not refund the first charge. They insist on charging us for two rooms.
We have severe pet allergies and would never book a pet friendly room. The reservation does not say or imply in any way that it is a pet-friendly room. We did completely inadvertently book a smoking room (we are also allergic to cigarette smoke). But at check-in, as it was 2 a.m. and our option was the family sleeping in the car, we paid Baymont for a SECOND room -- non-smoking. Clearly the staff on duty had no authority to remediate the situation – a critical customer service issue.
Room was clean and comfortable, bed hard. We had expected a better Brekfast since Baymont inn in the Marriott family. We unfortunately left an expensive personal pillow behind, but they didn't find it.
Not too bad of a place if you just stop it over don't look too closely it definitely is not bad Baymont Inns standards it needs an overhaul but it was clean bed was comfy water pressure was great
Stayed this past weekend at this hotel, first room.we checked into was i guess a handicap room, very small room, sheets were dirty, floor was dirty not acceptable. Called from desk was told come back, they put us in another room. Bigger room, phone did not work to call front desk, toliet made loud squealing noise when flushed, no water pressure in shower and the counter where the sink looked to be for short people. Very disappointed with our whole stay there especially for the price we paid, was definitely not worth the money we paid. Was woke up sat morning at 430 am blasting music and then again Sun morning with people being loud outside. Just so dissatisfied I feel as my family wasted money.
Grime in bathroom sink and toilet. Took a clean washcloth, wet it and ran it over the tv table only to come away gray with dirt from the table. No thanks. Money promptly returned. Not the front desk clerks fault I know but Bayfronts housekeeping staff is beyond lazy.
