Choice is choice but not this property
The room and all the bedding had fresh clean bleach smell so I was comfort knowing our room was cleaned properly. Hotel front desk person was very pleasant and friendly. Clean pool and basic breakfast available..no complaints here
The room was clean and kept up very well. For me the room was quiet. Could be a good thing could be a bad thing but they are pet friendly. If you have your fur baby with you, you won't have to hide them but if you're like me and have allergies you want to make sure to tell them in advance. My allergies are mild and I made sure to request in special comments for a room that did not recently host a pet and honestly it seems they tried their best to follow this. I did not need to take allergy medicine during or after my stay and i could not find any obvious pet hairs on the blankets or pillows. As long as they continue to pay attention to such details i would recommend them and stay there again.
Choice Hotels are my hotel of choice so I booked a reservation with this property. Plans change I called to cancel my reservation and missed it by 1 hour. They said they were going to charge me anyways, finally agreeing to move my reservation to my new plans. This seemed fair to me I mean one hour!! So my new reservation arrives just after hurricane Irma. I thought it was great customer service for the hotel to call and confirm if I needed the room - They said they were going to rent it to someone else and cancel my reservation no charge to me, which was good as I had no way to get to it as a victim of the hurricane. They did charge me for it. They said because they were not able to rent it to someone else. I worked for over an hour with Choice Hotels but they could not make this property refund my money and this property would not even extend a credit for my new travel plans. I would have and will stay another 3 nights every 3 months but they would not extend a credit to recoup the value of the one night they charged me for that I did not stay due to the hurricane. You think a hurricane would be enough to survive and a hotel that says it will not charge you would stand by their word. That one night of income for this hotel means more to them than their word, remember that if you choose this hotel Choice hotels are good hotels but each hotel is individually owned - this hotel is not a good hotel.
Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Desk clerk very nice. As an econo lodge employee it's nice to see the standards are the same.
This place is a rip. We made emergency reservations for Irma and then tried to cancel the next morning when we heard the storm wasn't probably going to be as bad. Other hotels in the area were making special allowances for such reservations but not this place. They were determined to take advantage of the situation.
