It took me a long time to find a veterinarian who can take care of my snake and birds in my area and he is absolutely wonderful! Very affordable pricing and are willing to give an estimate for the best course of treatment. I know how much I'll be spending and am not surprised by extra fees like at other offices. I will definitely be using this veterinarian for all of my pets!!!

TL;DR: The exotics vet at this establishment has no idea what he's doing with small animals like ferrets, GO TO ANOTHER VET!

Awesome Doc!!! I've been bringing my dog, 5 cats, and my reptiles here since 2014. The Doc and staff have always made me feel at home and. They really do care about your pets. It's the only place in Lake city that will even look at my reptiles, the other places just charge you to come in and then send you off to Gainesville, if they'll even give you an appointment. They also don't try to push you to buy things you don't need, and they even have a nutritionist with a college degree on staff.

Vet was busy with emergency and had to wait an hour before they saw my cat, but treated my problem. I expected to pay a lot more than they said but gave me estmate. Good staff and vet. Friendly and care about animals.

DO NOT GO HERE! I took my ferret here for an emergency visit, and all he did is lecture me on food. He said the ferret was fine just fleas and sent us home. The ferret is now extremely sick, and we are at our regular vet. He is a quack!

I came to him last week with a sick ferret, he examined it for about 5 minutes before concluding that the ferret was healthy; it just had fleas. After telling us that the fleas were the problem, he proceed to lecture us about food. Telling us that we're feeding ALL of our animals the wrong foods, not just our ferret. For a good 30 minutes we had to listen to this salesman talk about Royal Cannon, he had a million and one booklets from the company so of course he was going to hype it. About a week passes, we get rid of the fleas and care for the ferret like he said but the pet only gets worse. We take it to anther vets office in Lake City and the new vet FEELS SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT IN THE FERRETS ABDOMEN, almost like he swallowed something or there was a tumor. How could the doctor at Vet. Medical Services not feel that?! My ferret is going into surgery tomorrow to hopefully save his life. This vet would have ended his life if my family continued to listen to him.
