It is rarely open and the collection is very eclectic, but the museum is still a great visit to discover some interesting local history. Take a look at the Civil War-era rifles that were found late last century in Lake Desoto and the story of how they got there.

A little museum totally run by volunteers. They are a great help in learning about local genealogy and our local history. Also currently twice a month a local paranormal investigation team is giving tours and telling about the historic ghost said to haunt the old Victorian.
"HAUNTED NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM" was totally SPOOK-TACULAR!!!!!!!!!
The museum's website says open today 10 to 1 but no one is here to let us in
