We are very pleased with the work done by Steve Schmidt of A Nature Encounter. Our patio and front entrance reconstruction required removal of old concrete, leveling out the slope of the ground, adding some low seating walls around landscaping, building a cooktop area for our BBQ, and adding lanscape lighting around our water garden. Mr. Schmidt has a keen eye for detail and helped us make decisions on the best pavers to use and the best way to structure and layout our new patio. He is very responsive to text messages and email. He communicated effectively with us to keep us informed, and he made sure were aware of what he was doing and what to expect. Mr. Schmidt was punctual and delivered as promised. We felt we could trust him from the very beginning. He made an expensive project and otherwise stressful situation go smoother than we expected, and we are very happy with the final outcome. I highly recommend this company.
Steve replaced two rotting wooden decks with pavers - one on the side and one in the back of my home. Was impressed at first meeting. Steve expained what he would do, we chose the pavers and when they arrived he quickly went to work. Both jobs were done on time and for the price quoted. He even pulled up and discarded the second deck. Have had no problems with either deck since they were installed. Wish I had had him do the pavers first - and not replaced the wooden decks with another set of wooden decks. Would highly recommend to anyone need paver work - or any other work Steve could provide Thanks.
In 2006 we had Nature Encounters build a parking area, a patio, a walkway , and a step at the front door with pavers. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, the attention to details,and the clean up after the work. Steve and his workers came in while we were out of town and did just what we had ask. Usually we would not leave home while such a project was being done, but we had a vacation planned when they had the time to do the work so we did. Everything was done as ordered and then some. It is because of this that we highly recommend Nature Encounters and Steven Schmidt!
We used Steve and his company several years ago to remove some old landscaping and replace with brick pavers. It was complicated, having to tie into existing landscaping and a deck...and we wanted a walkway, as well.
